Glengoyne Lodge
Glengoyne Lodge, opened in September 1977, is a purpose built Special Needs Scout Centre situated in Auchengillan Outdoor Centre by Blanefield and provides residential accommodation for up to 22 people. The building is of “Annaberg-Hus” Swedish Construction and is specifically designed for special needs groups.
The Lodge was built to suit the needs of the Glasgow Disabled Scouts, and is frequently used by us for weekend camps. It is available to other Special Needs Groups for midweek and occasional weekend bookings.
The Lodge is a two story building, centrally heated and double glazed throughout. Access for wheelchairs to the upper floor is by a ramp utilising the contours of the site.
The building has been designed as a centre for small group holidays and scout camps with free access for wheelchairs to the kitchen, toilets, dormitories and sun patio.
