Explorer Winter Camp - 01-03-2010
Last weekend twelve Explorer Scouts travelled to the east coast to Innerwick Outdoor Centre for their annual Winter Camp. The snow started just as we arrived at Innerwick, making the road into the centre interesting to say the least!
Friday was warming up in the centre before doing some badgework on Saturday - making pancakes, potatoes and porridge, and some map work. Then we went for an afternoon swimming session in North Berwick. Back to base we had dinner and an (indoor) sing song before bed.
On Sunday we had a quick game of "Inter-Failed-States-Rugby", then departed to East Fortune for the National Museum of Flight. We spent hours there looking at Concorde, a vulcan and comet aircraft and learning about the RAF during the Second World War. We then went back to Innerwick, got packed up quickly and headed back to Glasgow (slightly later than planned!).
