Glengoyne LodgeGlengoyne Lodge, opened in September 1977, is a purpose built Special Needs Scout Centre situated in Auchengillan Outdoor Centre by Blanefield and provides residential accommodation for up to 22 people. The building is of “Annaberg-Hus” Swedish Construction and is specifically designed for special needs groups.
The Lodge was built to suit the needs of the Glasgow Disabled Scouts, and is frequently used by us for weekend camps. It is available to other Special Needs Groups for midweek and occasional weekend bookings. 
The Lodge is a two story building, centrally heated and double glazed throughout. Access for wheelchairs to the upper floor is by a ramp utilising the contours of the site.
The building has been designed as a centre for small group holidays and scout camps with free access for wheelchairs to the kitchen, toilets, dormitories and sun patio. Auchengillan Outdoor CentreGlengoyne Lodge is situated within the grounds of Auchengillan Outdoor Centre.
Auchengillan enjoys an unrivalled setting in the central Scottish Highlands close to Loch Lomond. Surrounded by farmland, it offers panoramic views of the surrounding hills, mountains and lochs.
It provides a safe venue for young people to experience some of the best Scottish countryside amongst plentiful wildlife.
Auchengillan is the home of many new and unique activities and offers an action packed programme through the wide choice of activities on and off site, most of which are supervised by authorised instructors. Safety is a key feature and all activities are run in accordance with nationally recognised procedures and governing body recommendations.
