The 77th Cub Scout Pack is for boys aged 8 to 11. Cubs take part in an exciting and adventurous programme of activities including camping, cooking, pioneering and lots of fun games. The programme is tailored to meet the needs of each individual Cub.

The Cub Pack is based on the "Jungle Book" story, and the leader is called "Akela", with the other leaders being called names specific to the story (e.g. Baloo, Hathi etc).

Cubs are divided into groupings which are known as "Sixes" each one of which has a "Sixer" and a "Seconder" who are Cubs who are in charge of the Six. In the 77th, we have 3 Sixes, each with six Cubs in them.

We rely on a team of enthusiastic and dedicated helpers who provide the "physical push" each week. These helpers come from a variety of backgrounds such as local Scout Groups, BB Companies, Duke of Edinburgh participants etc.

The Cub Promise

I promise that I will do my best
To do my duty to God and to the Queen,
To help other people
And to keep the Cub Scout Law
