On Thursday, BBC Radio 2 Breakfast presenter, Chris Evans, was presented with the inaugural Scouting Entrepreneur Challenge. This celebrates the skills on show when Scouts demonstrate a mind for business.

2009 - Barrwod

The Scout Troop and Explorer Unit held a joint summer camp at The Barrwood near Stirling from Saturday 27th June to Saturday 4th July. The camp consisted of a total of 47:

Boys from the 77th Scout Group............17
Helpers................................................14
Scouters and Cooks ............................16

The theme for the week was "North American Indians" and the Patrols were named around this:

Apache Patrol - Ben Miller (PL)
Mohawk Patrol - Sean Dougan (PL)
Cherokee Patrol - Ryan Hughes (PL)
Cheyenne Patrol - Michael Harkin (PL)

The programme included an orienteering competition, canoeing, archery, swimming, day hike along the Union Canal to the Falkirk Wheel, several inter-Patrol competitions, 'Big Oil' wide game, Dragon's Den, totem pole design and paint, Barwood Bazaar Trading Post and much more.

Congratulations to Mohawk Patrol which won the Points Competition, and to Apache Patrol which won the James Lawrie Shield for 2009.
