2007 - Auchengillan
The main 2007 Summer Camp was held at Auchengillan Scout Camp from Saturday 30th June to Saturday 7th July. The Scout Network held a seperate camp at the Bendrigg Centre in the Lake District. The theme for Summer Camp was "Harry Potter" in honour of the release of the 3rd film and final book.
In a week where "Most Rainfall" records were broken, we were forced to move our tents to hard ground, but the camp continued - a Scout whistles under all difficulties!
Over the course of the week, the boys visited Stirling castle, learned some magic, and the Explorer Scouts had a small expedition to the Lochgoilhead Centre where they tried sailing, dragon boat racing and canoeing.
