Over the past few weeks some of our young people have been trying out activities for their Naturalist Activity Badge, learning about the world around them and constructing their own bird houses to welcome some birds into their gardens. We had two Scout sessions on Zoom where we firstly got together to learn how to build the bird houses, then in the second one we showed off to each other our individual designs!
The Scouts also had to plant some seeds and go bug hunting in their local area (thanks for all the up close pictures of the creepy crawlies you sent in!)
Well done to all the Scouts who took part and thanks to YouthLink Scotland who provided us with a grant to facilitate the delivery of the activity boxes to each of you. We just launched our next session in this programme – working on the Artist Badge – and if you are a member of the Group you can sign up to take part now!
